Reporting EZ

ATTENTION:  SMALL VOLUME KIWIFRUIT HANDLERS!

REPORTING EZ!

If you handle 10,000 tray equivalents or less of California kiwifruit per season, you could qualify for "Reporting EZ".  To qualify, you must return the attached Reporting EZ Application Form to the CKC no later than November 1, 2007.

Reporting EZ means you will not be required to file any KISS reports, no Year End Sales report and possibly no Final Packout report.  Also, you will only have to report your shipments twice during the season - one due January 5th and the final one due the 5th of the following month when your last shipment occurred.  You will only receive two assessment invoices during the season, billing for kiwifruit reported on each of your shipment reports.  It may sound complicated but it is real EZ! 

The Reporting EZ was designed for growers handling their own fruit or handlers with small kiwifruit volumes.

To qualify for Reporting EZ, you must meet all of the following:

(1) You must handle 10,000 or less tray equivalents of California kiwifruit this season.  (This is fruit that does not meet the Marketing Order Exemption Provision and must be inspected.  Please refer to page 5, Exemptions, of the Bulletin to see if you meet the Exemption Provision of the Marketing Order, or call the KAC office for an explanation.  It is not necessary to report to the CKC/KAC any fruit that is sold that meets the Marketing Order Exemption Provision).

(2) You must return the enclosed Reporting EZ Application Form to the KAC office by November 1, 2007.

(3) You must meet all of the Reporting EZ deadlines and pay all assessments on time to continue to qualify.

If you qualify, you only need two of the monthly “Shipment Report” forms and the “Final Packout Report” form if you handle fruit other than your own, which are included.  If you do not qualify for Reporting EZ please contact the CKC or KAC in order to obtain the additional reporting forms required.
